Corporate Name Availability 
Give us the proposed corporate name. We submit name to the Department of State, and report the first available name to your office. We suggest you refer to §301 of the Business Corporation Law for guidance in choosing names.

Corporate Name Reservation
Once a name has been checked and found to be available, you may wish to place a reservation on the name. Blackstone will prepare and file the Application for Name Reservation for your corporate name. Once filed, we will send the receipt of Name Reservation to your office. When filing certificates, the Name Reservation Receipt must accompany the Certificate. Name Reservations are good for a period of Sixty (60) days from the date of reservation. Also please advise if name reservation is for a corporation organized under the Business Corporation Law, Not-For-Profit Corporation Law, a new business, or change of name.

Extension of Name Reservation
If an extension of a current reservation of name is required, Blackstone will prepare and file the document necessary for the sixty day extension. Please be advised that the original receipt of Name Reservation must accompany the request for extension.

Cancellation of Name Reservation
If, for any reason, the reservation of a corporate name needs to be canceled, we can prepare and file the necessary documents to do so. The name reservation receipt must accompany the request for cancellation.
